Blues/pop legend, Paul Jones began his career with Manfred Mann in the sixties and scored a string of hits including Doo Wah Diddy, Pretty Flamingo and many other pop classics.
For the last 20 years he has been the front man of The Blues Band as well as being a regular BBC Radio 2 presenter and actor.
Paul, with his powerful singing and virtuoso blues harmonica, will be fronting the band he inherited from the late great George Melly - Digby Fairweather's Half Dozen.
Digby Fairweather has been in the music business for over thirty years and continues to lead one of Britain's most exciting jazz bands.
This show, a dynamic mix of blues with Paul's own songs and hits is a must for blues, rock and jazz fans alike - a fantastic start to Festival 22.
